Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif has acknowledged receipt of a petition from organisers of ‘Save Ghana Football Demonstration.’

A group of top journalists led a demonstration in the capital, Accra on Wednesday, February 14, to demand those in charge of football administration in the country to do things right.

Demonstrators largely expressed displeasure about the state of football in Ghana, particularly the recent poor performances of the Black Stars.

In a statement by Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif cited by HappySports, he assured the demonstrators that their concerns have been noted and are being taken seriously.

“I received a petition from the organizers of the ‘Save Ghana Football Demonstration.’ I appreciate the concerns raised by the demonstrators and assure you that we are taking them seriously. We will engage with the leadership of the group to understand their grievances and work towards finding lasting solutions,” the Sports Minister said.

Mustapha Ussif continued, “Your voices have been heard, and together, we will work towards revitalizing Ghanaian football for the benefit of all. Thank you for your passion and commitment to our beloved sport. #SaveGhanaFootball.”
