Samospharma Limited, a licensed pharmaceutical company which deals in pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and medical equipment installation and services, has introduced an online pharmacy dubbed ‘DrugNet’.
The online Pharmacy, DrugNet, provides prompt delivery of all medications, the services of a pharmacist and access to professional counselling on health matters. The online pharmacy which operates in Accra and Tema charges only GH₵5.00 for delivery.
Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer for Samospharma Limited, Samuel Otu Serebuor in an interview with Samuel Eshun on the Happy Morning Show disclosed that the introduction of the DrugNet online pharmacy was motivated by the need to create convenient purchasing of drugs.
“As a pharmacist, I have observed the stress patients go through to get drugs. So my team and I decided to bring an online portal to reduce the inconvenience for drugs”, he said.
He made it known that all medications are available on the DrugNet App as Samospharma is partnering with other pharmacies to bring medications to the doorstep of Ghanaians.
Addressing the issue of self-medication and fake prescriptions that may be provided to the online pharmacy by some unscrupulous persons, he noted that the team of pharmacists who work with the online pharmacy are able to determine if a prescription is valid or not before making such drugs available.
“We have been in the business for a while. We are able to determine if a prescription is valid or not. We need to see certain features on the prescription and then we question you on certain things. As such, people will not be able to abuse drugs. Even if one brings a fake prescription, upon advice and questioning, that person can be counselled not to go for such a medicine. Then, we give you an alternative. We have been positively reviewed on that”, he added.
He furthered that the pharmacy keeps a database of requests and time of requests so that drug abuse will be avoided.
The DrugNet app can be downloaded on the App Store or the Google Play Store. For more enquiries on the DrugNet services, people can call 0247761716 for assistance.
The DrugNet online pharmacy can also be reached on social media via ‘drugnetgh’ on Facebook and Twitter and ‘drugnet_gh’ on Instagram.
