Fast-rising Ghanaian male artiste, Gideon Adade -Boakye, popularly known as Deon Boakye , has revealed how dancehall artiste, Samini has affected his life positively and negatively.
Speaking in an interview on e.TV Ghana’s ‘The Late Nite Celebrity Show’ , Deon said: “Positively in the sense that Samini is a legend and everybody in Ghana or anyone following Ghanaian music knows Samini and what he has done”.
“And the name ‘high-grade’ is powerful. Anywhere I reach and mention the name High-grade and Deon Boakye, they will say oh Samini’s son”.
Then Negatively, he said “People started realizing that I have reached there so lets leave him. So people who use to support and vibe with me started moving away. The places I go to eat, I can’t go there again”.
“But the positive side out weighs the negative,” he stated.
Deon Boakye is the talented Afro-pop artiste who made it to the ‘Unsung Artiste’ category of the VGMAs in 2017. He was introduced and endorsed by the Samini during his 2018 VGMAs.
