Upper East Regional Football Association chairman, Salifu Shaibu Zida has been elected on to the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) at the Ordinary Congress held on Thursday.
Salifu Zida and Central Regional Football Association chairman. Robert Duncan went to the polls to compete for the last slot on the Executive Council.
The election which was earlier held saw the two aspirants tying up after two rounds in October during the Executive Council elections.
Zida beat off competition from Robert Duncan to win the second Regional Football Association’s slot on the Executive Council.
He amassed six out of the seven votes casted during the GFA 25th Ordinary Congress at Prampram today.
