
The Parent Teacher Association Chairman for Anum Presby Senior High School in the Eastern Region, Robert Amedeka, has commended the Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu for announcing the reintroduction of Parent Teacher Association into the Public Schools.
According to him, the Parent Teacher Association plays a vital role in the education system and contributes to the development of public schools.
In an interview with Happy Kasiɛbɔ, the PTA chairmain stated that the collaboration between teachers and parents contributes a lot to the development of schools. He mentioned that some PTAs have assisted in the construction of classroom blocks, dormitory blocks, provision of chairs and tables and many other projects that reduce the burden on the government.
He called on the government to put proper measures in place to regulate the activities of PTAs in order to prevent some teachers from extorting money from students.
