President Nana Addo has with immediate effect ordered the reinstatement of the Eastern Regional Director of the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO), Fred Dzeny.
Sources at the Presidency [Jubilee House] confirmed to Happyghana. com on Wednesday, November 7 that, President Nana Addo has ordered the EOCO Boss to ensure that Mr. Dzeny resumes work immediately.
Mr. Dzeny was suspended on Monday, November 4, after he asked the government to have the political will to prosecute their own when mentioned for corruption before prosecuting others.
Mr. Dzeny’s suspension attracted a barrage of criticisms from the majority of Ghanaians and the civil society who described the suspension as unfair and an attempt to gag free speech.
