President Akufo-Addo has appointed NPP Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku Constituency and the Board Chairman of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Bernard Oko-Boye, as a Deputy Minister for Health.

The medical doctor’s elevation comes as the president also fired a Deputy Minister for Communications, Vincent Sowah Odotei.
His predecessor, Alexander Abban, has now been appointed the Deputy Communications Minister.
The first time NPP MP in Parliament has been enjoying growing popularity for his independent-mindedness on topical national issues.

The president in a release said he is hopeful that Parliament will expedite the vetting of the Deputy Health Minister-designate for health so he can assume office as soon as possible.
The president also wished Vincent Sowah Odotei well in his future endeavors.
