
President John Dramani Mahama has urged members of the newly sworn-in Ghana Armed Forces Council to discharge their duties with wisdom, integrity, and unwavering dedication to national service.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the new Armed Forces Council Members on Monday, March 24, President Mahama emphasized the council’s vital role in preserving Ghana’s stability, bolstering national security, and ensuring the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) maintains the highest standards of professionalism.
He reminded the council members that their decisions would have significant implications for the country’s defense strategy and the overall welfare of the military.
The President stressed the council’s responsibility to safeguard and sustain the peace Ghana has long enjoyed and encouraged them to take a proactive stance in identifying and addressing emerging security threats.
Acknowledging the evolving nature of security challenges, he called on the Armed Forces Council to remain vigilant and adopt a forward-thinking approach to national defense.
