President John Dramani Mahama will today Thursday, February 27, deliver the State of the Nation Address.

According to the Minister of State in charge of Government Communication Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the address will focus on the true state of Ghana’s current economic situation, detailing the legacy of the previous administration and the government’s roadmap to renew investor confidence for accelerated growth.

The president’s address will also offer insight into the government’s “resetting agenda” and its strategy for revitalizing key sectors of the economy.

Delivered before Parliament, the speech is expected to spark reactions from both the political and business communities as the country faces crucial economic and social challenges.

The first State of the Nation Address since President Mahama’s re-election will also shed light on emerging scandals in key sectors of the economy as newly appointed government officials assume their roles and also fulfill his pledge to cut public spending.

Public interest is high following President Mahama’s promise to reset Ghana through responsible governance, measures to recover loot and stolen assets, and restore faith in leadership by strengthening institutions to uphold accountability and transparency
