President Mahama appoints COP Yohuno to replace Dampare as IGP

IGP restructures Police Management Board

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Commissioner of Police (COP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the Inspector-General of Police.

COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno who has been in the police force for over four decades comes as a replacement for Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.

This announcement was made by Felix Ofosu Kwakye, the Minister of State for Government Communications.

“President John Dramani Mahama has in accordance with Articles 91 and 202 of the 1992 and in consultation with the Council of State, appointed Commissioner of Police (COP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the Inspector General of Police.”

“He replaces COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.
