President John Dramani Mahama has announced his first set of ministerial nominations, who will serve in his administration upon vetting and approval by the Parliamentary Appointments Committee.
In a statement issued on Thursday, January 9, 2024, and signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Acting Spokesperson to the President, it was disclosed that the following nominations have been submitted to the Speaker of Parliament in line with Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana:
1. Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson as Minister for Finance Designate
2. Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor as Minister for Energy Designate
3. Hon. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine as Attorney General and Minister for Justice Designate
These nominees are set to undergo vetting by the Parliamentary Appointments Committee for final approval before assuming their respective roles.
