Political Researcher and a fellow at the Center for Democratic Development Ghana, (CDD- Ghana), Dr. Osae Kwapong, believes that none of the 2024 political manifestos critically addresses Galamsey.
According to him, both the NDC and NPP manifestos have consciously attempted not to put out proposals and ideas that suggest that who ever wins would clamp down on galamsey.
Dr. Osae Kwapong points out that, both parties scream at regulations, which he believes would not solve the problem, adding that, galamsey has become a ‘’National threat’’ to citizens which is taking great toll on their health.
