Vote for me to send your children abroad - Pius Hadzide urges voters

Deputy National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale, has once again taken on the opposition’s parliamentary candidate for the Asuogyaman constituency, Pius Hadzide.

Reacting to a now viral video in which Pius Hadzide was promising to take constituents of Asuogyaman to the US if voted for, Malik shared on his X page, “I always knew one day he will speak so I, Malik Basintale will get vindicated for calling him a Visa connection man and a “Goro boy.”

Malik Basintale admonished the Asuogyman constituency against believing the Mr. Hadzide, and urged them to choose wisely in the 2024 December polls.

“Dear people of Asougyaman, you believe this man at your own peril. He will take your money and they will deport you all like they did in his Australian Visa connection saga. I shall be in Asougyaman constituency on the 21st September. So help me God!” he added.

Parliamentary Candidate hopeful for the Asuogyman constituency, on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Pius Enam Hadzide, has promised the youth of his constituency travel opportunities to the US.

Addressing constituents during an evening campaign rally, Pius Hadzide touted himself as having sent some Ghanaians to Australia during his tenure as Deputy Sports Minister in President Akufo-Addo’s first term.

“I sent people to Australia from Ghana and mind you travelling to Ghana from Australia takes 18 hours, but I have done that. The 2026 world cup will be played in America and it takes just 7 hours to fly to America from Ghana. Chiefs gathered here, if you want your people, especially the youth to travel to America for greener pastures and make money, then vote for me,” he told the gathering.
