The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council (EXCO) elections is underway at the association’s Secretariat in Accra.
The contest for a slot on the Executive Council, hitherto the Executive Committee, will be given a stiff race following the reduction of the composition from 23 to 12 members.
However, there is heavy security presence at the Secretariat to make sure the ‘football people’ have free, fair, peaceful and transparent election.
The ExCo will comprise five representatives from the Premier League, three Division One League representatives, two Regional Football Association chairmen and one female representative.
The last position will be filled by the new President of the FA whose identity will be known when the Presidential elections are held on Friday at the College of Physicians and Surgeons.
