Huge billboards have been mounted across the country ahead of the annual 31st Night ritual for majority of Christians.
December 31 is the end of the year for majority of people of all religions and this day is marked all over the world in different ways. Christians in Ghana have ritual they perform on the eve of the day. In preparation for the big night which they spend in church, there are numerous billboards scattered all over the streets of Accra and beyond.
The popular 31st Night in Ghana is observed by most Christians to thank their creator for how far He has brought them and also to ask for forgiveness and leave behind all negativity in that year as they make new resolutions for the coming year to guide them.
However a minor section of Christians mark the end of the year on March 31.
Check out a few billboards of some churches captured by happyghana.com advertising their theme and church activities to mark the celebration of 31st Night.
