‘Football people’ are on the verge of taking a big step towards restoring normalcy to football in the country, with the national association’s Normalisation Committee set to hold a Meeting of Extraordinary Congress on Thursday.
Top on the agenda is a review and adoption of new GFA statutes as well as regulations on elections in relation to an imminent football association presidential election.
In a statement signed by the association’s Deputy General Secretary, Alex Asante, the GFA said the decision was pursuant to a decision of the GFA Executive Committee on June 5, 2018, which asked all persons implicated in the Anas documentary to step aside until the Ethics Committee decided on their conduct.
