Parliamentary vacant seat brouhaha: If I see Ato Forson sitting on my seat as majority leader today, I will leave quietly - Afenyo-Markin

The Member of Parliament for Effutu constituency, Alexander Afenyo-Markin has promised not to engage in a brawl when the NDC Parliamentary caucus takes over as majority ahead of sitting today, Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

According to him, the law will take its course as he sees it as a weapon to fight the impasse in parliament regarding who takes over as majority or minority.

“If NDC places Ato Forson on my seat as majority on the right hand of the speaker, I won’t fight but leave quietly, the law is my weapon”.

He emphasized that Ghana is too responsible to be subjected to public ridicules and criticisms because of the current situation in parliament.

“No NPP member will encourage any brawl hence everything is in the hands of the speaker, he indicated”.
