Parliament has paid the Electricity Campany of Ghana around GH8 million of the GH13 million it owed.
The revenue mobilization taskforce from ECG visited Ghana’s parliament house with the intention of disconnecting it from the national power grid, and this visit resulted in the payment of a portion of the bill.
The activity is a part of the power distributor’s attempt to recoup approximately GH5 billion in debt accrued by commercial and state institutions for non-payment since August last year.
