Renowned sports journalist, Owusu Bempah, has attributed Asante Kotoko’s struggles to poor managerial decisions.

In an interview on Happy FM’s Happy Sports, Owusu Bempah emphasized that the club’s problems over the past 15 years can be traced back to managerial incompetence.

“There are lots of problems faced by Asante Kotoko, one is a technical problem, bad decisions taken by management is another,” he stated.

“Right decisions must be made if the club wants to return to its glory days. I do not understand how a team like Kotoko is being run by only 3 individuals regardless of how competent they are.”

Bempah further reiterated his long-held belief that managerial issues have been the primary cause of Kotoko’s decline: “I have always said that the problem of the club in the last 15 years has been managerial.”

Asante Kotoko’s recent 1-0 loss to Heart of Lions has once again exposed the club’s deep-rooted managerial issues.

The Porcupine Warriors have been plagued by inconsistent performances and subpar results in recent years, a trend that has continued into the current 2024/25 season.

The defeat to Heart of Lions has left Kotoko fans frustrated and concerned about the club’s future.

As the Porcupine Warriors prepare for their upcoming match against Bechem United, they will need to find a way to turn their fortunes around after bring winless in three consecutive games.
