The Technical Universities Workers Association of Ghana (TUWAG) has distanced itself from the ongoing strike by the Tertiary Education Workers Union of Ghana (TEWU)
According to TUWAG, they are not on strike.
“The National Leadership of TEWU-GH and TUWAG wish to categorically state that our unions are not on strike”.
The Union in a statement clarified that, the ongoing strike action by Tertiary Education Workers Union of Ghana (TEWU) is solely related to the Ghana Education Service (GES) staff and not TEWU- GH and TUWAG or workers in Ghana’s public and Technical Universities.
TUWAG has therefore assured it members to remain calm and continue their work.
“We urge all our members to remain calm and continue to discharge their duties as usual. We appreciate your loyalty and support, which have been instrumental in building a strong and vibrant union”.
