Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has encouraged Samira Bawumia, wife of NPP’s Presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to conduct her campaign with humility and respect ahead of the 2024 general elections.
During a courtesy call on Wednesday, 9 October 2024, as part of Mrs. Bawumia’s one-week campaign tour of the Ashanti Region, Otumfuo emphasized the importance of peaceful and respectful campaigning.
He advised Samira to focus on clearly communicating her party’s message and policies without engaging in insults or violence, stressing the significance of civility in the increasingly heated political climate.
“God is the maker of kings, so continue spreading your message. I also thank you for supporting your husband in his campaign, as men succeed when they are supported by good and dedicated wives. I give you my blessings as you embark on your campaign activities,” the Asantehene said, commending her for her active involvement in the political process.
