Govt imposes Curfew on Nkwanta amid violence

The Oti Regional Health Directorate has hinted on closing health centres should attacks on health personnel persist.

According to them, the escalating violence in the Region poses a threat to healthcare personnel in Nkwanta South.

The Oti Regional Health Director, Dr. Osei Kuffour said the ongoing conflict in the Region has caused fear and panic among Health personnel.

He added that the attacks in the Region have caused damage to the health Directorate’s vehicles and personnel at Tuobodom.

He further stated that even though security agencies are helping to restore calm and commend them for that but also urged parties involved in the conflict to prioritize peace.

His comment comes after government institutions including the Police FPU, Kyabobo National Park and the Municipal health Directorate were attacked leading to the death of one health worker while others got injured.
