Organized labour has called off its planned strike scheduled for Thursday October 10, after a successful meeting with the government.
The Secretary General of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), Joshua Ansah made the announcement in Accra, revealing that the administration has agreed to boost efforts to combat illegal mining.
Organized labour had initially planned a nationwide strike for October 10 to urge the government to develop more effective measures to combat illegal mining.
