International Diplomatic Expert, Farouk Al-Wahab, has asserted that only clever nations can rise after the COVID-19 pandemic just like how some few countries were able to rise after the two world wars.

According to him, the Coronavirus pandemic has changed a lot of things and countries will need to adapt to that change. He noted that in some few years to come, an industry like the travel industry will be affected. “It is possible that you cannot travel to another country if you don’t have a COVID-19 vaccine injected into you”, he said.

In an interview with Kwame Afrifa Mensah on the Epa Hoa Daben show, he stated that this possible occurrence in the travel industry may affect Ghanaian traders who travel outside the country for products.
He advised that if Ghana does not adapt to certain important things such as the agriculture sector, the economy can be greatly affected.

“We need to shift into the agriculture economy. Let us produce more pepper and tomatoes for export and internal use. That will help our economy grow post COVID-19”, he said.

A report by Bloomberg states that Coronavirus could cost the global economy 2.7 trillion dollars, which is the equivalent to the entire Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the United Kingdom.
