Ghanaian sports journalist, Ekow Asmah has said that the heavyweight contest between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury shouldn’t have ended in a close call.
Ekow Asmah who believes the judges wanted the fight to end in favor of the British boxer ahead of the Ukrainian said the score line was not a fair reflection of the bout.
Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy Sports, He said the scores awarded by the three judges clearly showed that the fight would have been decreased in favor of Fury if the fight had been staged in the UK.
The scorecards read 115-112 and 114-113 for the Ukrainian, with a third judge scoring it 114-113 to Fury.
The defeat to Oleksandr Usyk was Tyson Fury’s first ever in his 16-year professional career.
