Experienced Motivational speaker, Oheneba Kofi Agyei, has explained how his career began.
Sharing his story with Rev. Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9FM’s Obra Yi’s edition of NsemPii, he said, “I traveled to Europe when I was young and while I was there trying to figure my life out and make a living, I went through over 7 countries to get to where I am today.”
After resolving to stay in Belgium, he started his studies and got a job. “During my stay, I discovered life is not about what one will eat but rather about your purpose,” he said
He made this assertion considering everything he has been through. He believes this motivated and kept him going throughout tough times.
“At that time, all I wanted to do was to survive. And upon getting to Belgium, one thing I realized about white people was that, a lot of them only wanted to survive. But most of them don’t live their lives like they want to survive,” he shared.
He realized most of them try to find themselves and know who they are, their strengths and capabilities. “In most cases a lot of them working are passionate about what they do.”
Whilst learning and trying to know more about this way of life, he realized, “it’s not about what you want to do but, about why you were born. Until you know that, your life is meaningless.”
With these experiences, he deemed it fit to begin a career in advising others, becoming a motivational speaker.
