Official: Milovan Rajevac appointed Black Stars coach, Konadu, Otto Addo to work as deputies

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced Milovan Rajevac as the new head coach of the Black Stars.

The Serbian trainer will be assisted by Maxwell Konadu and Dortmund coach Otto Addo with support from Richard Kingston as Goalkeeper’s trainer.

According to the GFA President, Kurt Okraku, Milovan Rajevac was hired because of his track record with the senior national team. Thus the FA has the firm believe in his credentials.

Speaking on the contract details with the media General Secretary for the GFA, Prosper Harrison Addo disclosed said, The tenure of the agreement is for a year. And if he is able to qualify for the World Cup the tenure extend to February 2023. That is to the next AFCON in 2023.

“The Coach was paid in Euros in the first tenure and this time around he will be paid in dollars that is $30,000 every month.

“Qualification to the World Cup is key for us.If the coach qualifiers to the World Cup he would be entitled to $300,000. If he wins the AFCON he is entitled to the same amount”

He added that there was no agency involved in the appointment of Milovan Rajevac.

“There was no agency in involved in the appointment of Milovan Rajevac for both the Coach and Football Association.Should the coach be found for dealing with agents or intermediaries his contract will be terminated”.

Milovan Rajevac begins his second stint with a doubleheader against Zimbabwe in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier next month.

The coach has been in Ghana since Monday September 20, preparing to name his squad ahead of the official unveiling.
