Asante Kotoko has appointed Maxwell Konadu as the club’s new head coach on a two-year deal.
The former Black Stars assistant coach has been tasked to win the domestic league and qualify the team to the CAF Champions League in the next two seasons.
This will be his second stint with the club after guiding them to the 2011 Ghana Premier League title.
Konadu replaces Kjetil Zacharrissen who was sacked in November after a series of poor performances in the CAF Inter club competition which saw Asante Kotoko lose out on the group stage.
He will take charge of the club and his first game will be against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in the 2019 President Cup to be played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday 15 December, 2019.
Konadu will be hoping to start off with a good performance against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
