The National Service Scheme (NSS) has announced a six-months volunteer program, inviting national service graduates and unemployed youth to participate.

This initiative comes in response to the overwhelming number of applications from young people, as the scheme seeks to tackle the pressing issue of youth unemployment in Ghana. By providing opportunities for skills development and community engagement, the NSS aims to make a positive impact on the lives of these young volunteers.

In a statement dated July 18, the National Service Scheme (NSS) announced the recruitment of volunteers, explaining that the program will encompass various sectors, including sanitation, education, agriculture, healthcare, and others that align with the government’s initiatives to promote environmental sustainability, public health, and overall development.

The National Service Scheme will soon open an online application portal on their website, streamlining the selection process. They urge all candidates to disseminate this opportunity to potential applicants in their region or district and offer guidance and support throughout the application process, ensuring a smooth and successful experience for all candidates.
