Nsoatreman FC responds to Asante Kotoko’s press conference

Nsoatreman FC

Nsoatreman FC has issued a statement following Asante Kotoko’s press conference on February 24, 2025, addressing concerns raised by the Kumasi-based club.

Asante Kotoko had dismissed rumors of a rift between the two clubs and stated they hadn’t received official communication from Nsoatreman after the passing of fan Nana Pooley.

Nsoatreman clarified that they are actively cooperating with the Ghana Police Service’s investigation into Pooley’s death and urged for calm and patience during this sensitive period.

Asante Kotoko has been inactive since the tragic loss of Pooley but is expected to resume play on March 8, following his final funeral rites on March 6. Coach Prosper Ogum has encouraged his players to dedicate their efforts to honoring Pooley’s memory and pursuing the Ghana Premier League title.

Other Ghana Premier League clubs returned to action this past weekend in the MTN FA Cup, marking their first competitive matches since Pooley’s passing.
