Deputy National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Krobea Asante, has responded to criticisms suggesting that the party’s Communications team isn’t sufficiently promoting the achievements of the Nana Akufo-Addo government.
He acknowledged that managing communication is both costly and complex, but emphasized that the team has been making efforts.
Speaking in an interview with Kwadwo Sefah-Danquah on the Happy Morning Show, Mr. Asante stated that party leaders are aware of their responsibilities and know how to achieve desired outcomes.
He also mentioned that some internal party matters should remain private. While recognizing that the National Communications Directorate may not always have optimal resources, he assured that they are doing their best under the circumstances.
“When you are talking about the party’s commutations then you are talking about the National Communications Directorate then you ask yourself that has the directorate been well resourced to do certain things, but aside that we are doing our best”, he stressed.
He pointed out that despite the party’s efforts, opposition parties often receive more support from the public.
According to him, every communicator within the party highlights their projects, and the focus should be on how to enhance their ability to communicate effectively.
He emphasized that effective communication involves not just talking about projects but also ensuring that communicators are well-supported and mobile.
