Women’s Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Mfantseman Constituency, Madam Naomi Efua Acquah, has resigned from her position.
In her resignation letter dated June 12, addresed to the Constituency Chairman, she expressed that ongoing challenges such as intimidation, insults, denials, discrimination, and personal struggles had made it difficult for her to continue in her role.
“Despite my passion, commitment, and dedication to the cause, I can no longer continue in this condition pretentiously. The entire indiscriminate negative energy has taken a toll on my well-being and I must prioritize my safety and health before anything at all”, part of the statement read.
Madam Efua Acquah expressed gratitude for the opportunity she had to serve and empower women in her community.
Confirming the news to Happyghana.com, she stated that resigning was crucial to her safety as she believes holding onto the position could lead to her death, noting that further details would be addressed in a press conference on Friday, June 14.
