The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has unveiled the highly anticipated campaign team of its 2024 flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
In a press release issued by the General Secretary of the party, Justin Kodua Frimpong, introduced a formidable lineup of individuals tasked with steering Dr. Bawumia’s bid for political power.
At the helm of the campaign coordinating committee stands Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia himself, with the vice chairmanship awaiting the announcement of the party’s running mate.
Notable among the campaign’s advisory committee are former President J.A. Kufuor, current President Akufo-Addo, and respected figures such as Rev. Joyce Aryee.
Ambassador Edward Boateng has been entrusted with diplomatic liaison responsibilities, highlighting the importance of international relations in the campaign strategy.
In the operational domain, Justin Kodua Frimpong will spearhead operations, supported by Henry Nana Boakye, with a keen focus on engaging various party wings, volunteer groups, and persons with disability desks.
Dan Botwe has been assigned the critical role of campaign strategist, flanked by vice chairpersons Fred Oware and Nana Akomea. Meanwhile, Frederick Opare-Ansah assumes the mantle of campaign manager, backed by a trio of capable deputies overseeing research, parliamentary campaign, and presidential campaign respectively.
The communication facet of the campaign will be skillfully handled by Dr. Gideon Boako as spokesperson, alongside Dennis Miracles Aboagye as director of Campaign Communication, with support from deputies Adomako Baafi and Akbar Khomeini.
Heading the Electoral Affairs Committee is Peter Mac Manu, while Edward Boateng will lead diplomatic efforts. Other key positions include Kobea Asante as Social Media Coordinator, Dr. Isaac Owusu Mensah for research, Dr. Alolo Muntaka for Finance and Fundraising, and Frank Davis for legal matters.
