NPP, others honour invitation to NDC 9th delegates congress

Unlike how the National Democratic Congress (NDC) failed to honour invitation to their National Delegates Congress in Koforidua, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) fully represented at the 9th National Delegates Conference of the former.

The NPP was represented at the NDC congress being held at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra, by the Deputy General Secretary, Nana Obiri Boahen and three other National Officers.

This is indeed the beauty of democracy and political tolerance. The NDC in August 2018 failed to send representative to the NPP congress with the excuse of being preoccupied by the funeral arrangement of the late Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amisa-Arthur.

Other sister political parties; CPP, PNC, PPP, APC also represented at the congress of the NDC. The Former Presidents, Jerry John Rawlings and John Dramani Mahama were present as well as the former Speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe Adzaho, 2nd Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, former Chief of Staff, Julius Debra, aspiring NDC 2020 flagbearers, 106 Members of Parliament from minority, ex-ministers of state and ex-chief executives among others.

All the sister political parties took their turns to wish the NDC a successful national congress.

The theme for the congress is “Together We Win Election 2020”.

Even though the congress environment is relatively peaceful there is heavy security presence to forestall any unforeseen challenges.
