The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Okaikwei North constituency, Stephen Addae popularly known as Chairman Obia Nye Obia has called for calm and unity among supporters following the party’s defeat in the 2024 elections.

He took full responsibility for the loss in the constituency and acknowledged that electoral defeat is always difficult for any political party.

Despite the NPP’s setbacks in both the parliamentary and presidential races, he emphasized the need for the party to overcome differences and emerge stronger. While recognizing the disappointment, he urged supporters to let go of past frustrations and focus on the present and future. He stressed that there was more work to be done.

He noted that some remarks made during the period of pain and disappointment were harsh, but now is the time to move forward and concentrate on rebuilding the party. He called for unity and focus, stressing that it was their time to lead and work together for the party’s growth.

He also mentioned that the constituency executives would meet soon to reflect on the election results and use the lessons learned to guide future efforts.
