The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a directive instructing all party members to refrain from discussing internal matters that could foster unrest and disaffection in the media.
In a statement, the party acknowledged the disappointment and emotional distress felt by members following their defeat in the last election. However, it urged members to remain calm and allow cooler heads to prevail.
Citing Article 10(7)(5) of the NPP Constitution, which mandates party officers to coordinate activities and operations, the leadership emphasized the need for unity and discipline. Additionally, it reminded members of their duty under Article 3(5) to promote and defend the party’s good name.
To ensure compliance, the statement warned that any member who violates this directive will be referred to the appropriate disciplinary committees at the national, regional, and constituency levels.
The NPP leadership further called on members to uphold the party’s values and work towards rebuilding a stronger and more united front for the future.
