New Patriotic Party executives at the Asante Akim North constituency have allowed the voting process to go on despite being served with a court injunction.
Although the executives of the party at the national headquarters, the EC and the Police were served with the application Friday, constituency executives claim they have no knowledge whatsoever about such action against the party.
The injunction was filed by some 145 aggrieved delegates who claimed that their names have been unlawfully and fraudulently missing from the register.
The contest in the Asante Akim North constituency in the Ashanti region is between incumbent Andy Kwame Appiah Kubi and former MP Kwadwo Baah Agyemang.
Mr Appiah-Kubi defeated Kwadwo Baah Agyemang in the last NPP primary and went ahead to win the parliamentary election to enter the Legislative House.
Baah Agyemang is bent on snatching the seat back and the constituency had been labeled as one of the hotspots in Saturday’s primaries being organized in 100 constituencies across the country by the NPP.
