Dr. Prince Amuzu, the spokesperson for Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto’s campaign, has conveyed his optimism and assurance that the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer election will yield favorable results.

While highlighting the success of the elections, he underscored the commitment of their camp to respecting the views of the delegates and collaborating with the party and the chosen candidate.

In an interview on Happy 98.9 FM, Dr. Amuzu’s said, “I’m sure the numbers will come out good. The people will speak, and when it’s all said and done, we are ready to respect the views of the delegates and work with the party and whoever wins.”

He also provided an update on the ongoing election process, noting that the elections had largely proceeded as anticipated. While a comprehensive report from every constituency was still pending,

Dr. Amuzu highlighted an unfortunate incident in Akachie North, Volta region, where an aide to the District Chief Executive (DC) had reportedly assaulted an agent of Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto. The matter had been reported to the police and was being addressed accordingly.

Voter tallying is in progress nationwide as the NPP gets ready to formally declare its nominee for the Accra Sports Stadium General Elections of 2024.
