Amid the enthusiasm of this electoral event, the President of the Republic, Akufo-Addo, made a notable appearance at the party’s headquarters to exercise his right to vote. His arrival generated considerable excitement among the gathered crowd, who expressed their enthusiasm for the voting process.

The voting process to select a new flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in preparation for the 2024 General Elections is currently in progress.

This electoral event is marked by intense competition, with Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Kennedy Agyapong emerging as the leading contenders. Additionally, former Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, and former Mampong MP, Francis Addai-Nimoh, are competing for the party’s flagbearer position.

As the election unfolds, the attention is not solely on President Akufo-Addo, as Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto and Ing. Francis Addai-Nimoh are also expected to make their way to the party’s headquarters to cast their votes after Vice President Dr. Bawimia.

The contest is poised to play a significant role in shaping the NPP’s leadership for the 2024 General Elections.
