Normalization Committee increases number of premier league clubs for 2020 season

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) under the leadership of the Normalization Committee (NC) has increased the number of premier league clubs to 18 for the 2020 elections.

The normalization committee proposed the inclusion of King Faisal and Great Olympics to the premier league to ensure the cases at the courts are amicably resolved.

According to NC, increasing the number of clubs from 16 to 18 will ensure the next GFA administration will start from a clean note with no legal cases.

The decision also means the ruling of the Court of Arbitration for Sports on Phar Rangers will be implemented to allow Sporting Mirren to return to the Division one League, and to allow for zone two to also present a new team to the Zone two of the Division one league
