The Interior Ministry has refuted claims of issuing directives or protocols permitting any groups or individuals to bypass security checks.
This comes in response to misinformation circulating on social media, alleging that certain individuals, including pastors, had been granted special privileges to bypass security procedures.
According to a statement issued by the Public Affairs and Communications Unit of the Ministry, “These claims are baseless, entirely false and should be disregarded immediately”.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining nationwide peace and security, ensuring equal protection for all citizens without discrimination.
It also cautioned against the misuse of its name for criminal activities or the spread of false information, warning that such actions undermine national security.
The Ministry urged social media users and the public to remain vigilant and verify information through official channels before sharing to prevent the spread of misinformation.
“We urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities”.
