Ghanaian gospel singer, Grace Ashley, has revealed how the loss of her husband has affected her.
According to her, she was married to her late husband for 28 years and described him as the only one who truly understood her.
Speaking to Rev. Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9FM’s Nsem Pii about how she felt when she lost her husband, she said, “It wasn’t easy and I always say that this kind of pain is one you’ll never wish for your worst enemy because it’s an unbearable one.”
She stated that her late husband’s death took her by surprise as she wasn’t expecting it at all.
“Some people still ask of him and even as at today, about three people asked of him. When I told them he was no more they all couldn’t believe it especially one of them who was a pastor,” she noted.
She stated that, even her son told that her that in order for her to be able to move on, the only thing she can do is to accept his death.
“Sometimes when I’m alone or even with people I talk to myself without realizing. I think I might need a counselor to assist me because it is very difficult for me,” she revealed.
Grace added that she does not expect people to understand or pity her because anyone who has not been in her situation will never understand her she feels.
