Leader and Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has urged voters to accept monetary inducement from NPP in the upcoming 2024 election.

According to him, the Nana Addo led administration is allegedly using state funds to buy votes in the upcoming elections.

Addressing a durbar in Juapong in the North Tongu Constituency as part of his campaign tour of the Volta Region, John Mahama encouraged voters to repeat what happened in Assin North election where the electorates took money from the NPP and voted against the NPP Parliamentary candidate, Charles Opoku.

“Elections are coming, the NPP will come with a lot of money they’ve made in eight years, take the money and vote against them. The people of Assin North were afraid to take money from the NPP because they said if you chop the money and don’t vote for them, kpelekpeji (god) will deal with you but the NDC reminded the people that the money being given to them are their own money stolen from them. After the Assin North by-election, nobody has died. They are definitely going to come with the money, when they bring it collect it, chop it but never forget to vote for the truth.”
