Nkwanta South Chiefs call on John Mahama to intervene in ongoing conflict in the area

The Chiefs of Nkwanta South in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region have called on NDC Presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama to intervene in the ongoing conflict in the area for peace to prevail.

According to them, the tension in Nkwanta South threatens peace and stability in the area.

Steve Yaw Obour, speaking on behalf of the chiefs during John Mahama’s visit to the Municipality as part of his campaign tour, Yaw Obour stated that the tension in Nkwanta South has created fear among the people, preventing economic activities and development.

“We believe that your efforts towards this ongoing tension in Nkwanta can let peace prevail among the parties involved”.

If you are elected as the next President of Ghana, we expect you to call for peaceful dialogue to address the issue and promote unity among the people of Nkwanta, he noted.
