Football lovers are set to be thrilled with ‘Field of Play’ a new show premiering on e.TV Ghana on 23rd August 2021.
The ‘Field of Play’ is a show designed to bring to viewers in-depth coverage, interviews, personality profiles, and a scene look at the Ghana Premiere league {GPL}. The Field of Play was designed in partnership with the Ghana Football Association {GFA}, for soccer fans who want to know more about players, coaches, clubs and news updates about the GPL before, and after full-time.

Speaking about the show Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Media 53, Eli Tettey-Doamekpor owners of the show said: ‘’ what is the one thing that all Ghanaians can identify with regardless of ethnicity or social status? The answer is football, the beautiful game is loved by all and it has the power to unite us. We cannot talk about football in Ghana without talking about the Ghana Premier League which feeds the National teams like the Black Stars with players. The GPL has been running for over 50 years, however, we have failed to tap into the full potential of the league.
He also enumerated the objectives of the show.
‘’Our objectives for designing the Field of Play is simply to make the league more attractive, by giving sponsors value for money. We also wish to sustain interest in the GPL. Our intention is to increase attendance at the stadium when it opens for spectators’’ he outlined.

Director of Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company {GMABC} on his part encouraged viewers and football enthusiasts to tune in to e.TV Ghana and watch the show.

The show which will travel the length and breadth of country throwing more lights on the GPL, has fun and interactive segments like the Target Striker Challenge where, this segment will give the visited teams the platform to test the sshooting skills of players on the team. There is the Know your League segment for sports enthusiast to test their knowledge of football. The Veterans is also another segment of the show aim at highlighting the achievements of past players.
‘Field of Play will air on e.TV Ghana at 9:00pm on Mondays.
