Ghanaian actor, Kwadwo Nkanasah popularly called Lil Win has claimed that he made more money in the Division One League than Asamoah Gyan who played in the Ghana Premier League.

Asamoah Gyan in 2020 returned to the Ghana Premier League to sign for Legon Cities on a short deal rumoured to be worth GH₵1 million while Kwadwo Nkansah signed his first professional footballing contract with New Edubiase FC.

Despite the amount involved in his transfer being kept under the radar, Kwadwo Nkansah who played only four matches for New Edubiase claims, he earned more money than the legendary Asamoah Gyan.

“I signed a two-year deal with Edubease. The club’s owner, a close acquaintance, recognized my talent and invited me to join. He provided a personal trainer, and my skills and popularity added excitement to the league. The amount was substantial, but I prefer not to disclose it.

“Asamoah Gyan’s earnings from Legon Cities were a fraction of mine from New Edubease. In terms of salary and bonuses, no local league player could match me. I avoid specifics to prevent a surge of financial requests, but rest assured, it was a considerable sum,” he said.
