NDC will continue to fight what is right until the EC responds to our plea - Asiedu Nketia

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has made it clear that today’s “Enough is Enough” protest is not just about expressing dissatisfaction, but about testing Ghana’s democracy and preventing potential conflict as the country approaches the December polls. Speaking to supporters at Obra Spot in Accra ahead of the protest, Mr Nketia emphasized that the NDC won’t wait for tensions to escalate before taking action.

The protest, scheduled for September 17, aims to push the Electoral Commission (EC) and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to address concerns about voter registration irregularities and ensure a transparent electoral process. Asiedu Nketia stressed that this demonstration is just the beginning, and the NDC will continue to fight for what’s right until the EC responds to their pleas.

Mr Nketia underscored that the NDC’s objective is to prevent electoral disputes and ensure peace, stating, “We will not wait for war to break out before we express our displeasure.” He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to democratic principles and its determination to hold the EC and government accountable.
