The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a lineup of activities to celebrate the inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama, scheduled for Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
In a statement signed by the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC urged all members to ensure the seamless execution of these activities. The statement also expressed gratitude to the party’s executives and supporters for their commitment, which led to the party’s victory in the 2024 general elections.
The planned activities include:
January 4-6, 2025: Victory celebrations across all constituencies, with each constituency determining its specific activities.
Saturday, January 4, 2025: A Victory Walk in Accra.
Sunday, January 5, 2025: A Ghana Victory Concert at the Forecourt of the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra.
Tuesday, January 7, 2025: The Presidential Inauguration at the Independence Square in Accra.
Friday, January 10, 2025: A National Muslim Thanksgiving Service at the National Mosque in Kanda, Accra, and all mosques nationwide.
Sunday, January 12, 2025: A National Christian Thanksgiving Service at the Independence Square in Accra.
The General Secretary extended congratulations on behalf of the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC) to all regional and constituency executives and the party’s supporters. He commended their dedication and tireless efforts, which he said culminated in this historic victory.
