The much touted unity walk of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) rolled up as part of the Prof. Kwesi Botchwey to foster peace in the party in the run-up to 2020 will be held at Tarkwa on Saturday November 11, in the Western Region.
Mr. Brogya Genfi, the Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer made this revelation of taking the next walk to the Western Region when he interacted with Kwame Afrifa Mensah on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show on Accra-based Happy FM.
According to him, elements in the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central Region were shaken by the presence of the huge crowd that thronged the streets of the region to partake in the walk.
He said it came as no surprise to organizers of the walk, when elements like the Regional Minister, Kwabena Duncan put out the falsehood that all the participants were given fifty Cedis and bused to the venue.
He noted that it is their stock in trade to resort to the use of propaganda any time they are shaken by the largest opposition party.
He stated that the people of the Central Region have regretted voting massively for the NPP in the last elections.
The gentleman who is seeking to assume the reigns of a National Youth Organizer position of the party said the NPP and its cohorts do not understand the concept of the unity walk but it is hope for the future of the party.
He noted that it is concept to tell the NPP that is warming up for the 2016 elections as it has begun showing signs of failure in government.
