NDC supporters in Nkwanta South in the Oti Region have seized a DRIP equipment allegedly being transported out of the town by NPP supporters.
The bulldozer machine which was seen being moved out of the town from the Nkwanta local Assembly brought about heated arguments between supporters of the NDC and workers at the assembly.
In a video shared on social media, one NDC supporter was heard accusing the NPP of moving the equipment from Nkwanta South.
“The machine that belongs to the government, you are taking it away for your personal gains, what do you mean?, is the machine for you?, who asked you to take it”, he asked.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Catholic missionaries in Kpasa hired the equipment from the assembly.
It is believed that the Catholic missionaries paid GHC 9,700 to the Assembly to use the machine for their project.
The confrontation by the NDC supporters led to the slapping of one white man believed to be a member of the Catholic missionary.
The equipment is now in the custody of the Nkwanta South police.
